Privacy Policy
Study Lock ("the app") is made by WorldFlux Inc ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes.
The short version: your study routine stays on your iPhone. We do not run an account system or a server for the app, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Information stored on your iPhone
The app saves the following only on your device, inside the app's private storage:
- Your onboarding answers (your age confirmation, what you are studying for, your planned study days and times, and your preferred session length), used to set up the app for you.
- Your weekly study timetable and focus settings.
- Your focus session history (start time, planned end, how the session ended).
- The apps you chose to block. Apple's Screen Time gives the app only opaque tokens for these choices, not app names, so we cannot see which apps you picked.
- Diagnostic events (status codes, app version, timings) used to help you recover if blocking gets stuck.
We do not receive any of this information. It is not synced to iCloud by the app or sent to us. Your device's own backups may include it, according to your iPhone's backup settings.
Screen Time
The app uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) frameworks, with your permission, to block the apps you choose during focus sessions and timetable slots. Screen Time data stays on your device and is handled by Apple's frameworks. The app does not read or send your app usage.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. The app checks your subscription status with Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase is described in Apple's privacy policy.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules local notifications on your iPhone to tell you when a focus session ends. These are created on your device; no push notification service is used.
Diagnostics you choose to share
You can export a diagnostic report from Settings. The report excludes your app selections, Apple transaction IDs, your onboarding answers and app names. Nothing is sent automatically: you see the report and decide whether and where to send it. If you send it to us, we use it only to help with your issue and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Apple's statistics
If you have turned on "Share With App Developers" in your iPhone's Analytics settings, Apple may share crash reports and aggregate usage statistics with us. This is controlled by you in iOS Settings and is subject to Apple's privacy policy.
Deleting your data
You can delete all data the app stores on your iPhone from Settings › Delete data on this iPhone. This removes any active blocks, stops scheduled monitoring, and deletes your history and settings. Deleting the app also deletes its data. Deleting data does not cancel your subscription; manage that in iOS Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.
Children
The app is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
